Acne Breakouts

Question: Can i get laser acne scar removal if i am still getting acne breakouts?

I use to get cysts on my face when i was younger, but now i rarely get any new big cyst breakouts, usually i have small ones that come up still, but i am left with a lot of scarring, I was thinking about laser acne removal but would it be pointless to get it if i am not done breaking out? Do i have to wait till i have no more breakouts to get it? thx
