Effective acne treatment for oily skin
A lot of people believe that oily skin results from not washing your face enough. This is not the case. Oily skin can be caused by washing your face too much. When you wash your face you need to leave some oil behind. Oil is a natural product that the skin needs to remain soft and supple. When you wash it all away, your oil glands are alarmed and begin to produce more. The more you wash, the more oils are produced - leading to clogged pores and then acne.
The most effective acne treatment for oily type of skin is washing your face with mild cleansers no more than twice every day. Stay away from facial foams that contain harsh ingredients or astringents that have alcohol. It is also important to apply oil-free moisturizers to your skin on a regular basis. Gently cleaning your pores while leaving some naturally oil on your skin is the ideal balance between being clean and moisturized.
Effective acne treatment for dry skin
Dry skin is mostly caused by harsh products used to treat acne, or even weather conditions. When your skin is dry it can impede the healing process that causes acne breakout to last longer. It also adds up to the problem of blemishes by causing your skin to crack.
Acne treatment that is proven effective for dry skin is to simply moisturize. It is also important to wash with a moisturizing cleanser and never with plain soap. Soap can strip dry facial skin of the few oil it produces, that will eventually lead to worse acne.

I am not worried about the cost and I have recently set up a consultation with a cosmetic physician to see what they can offers for treatment. I am just looking to see what other information I can gather, the searches seem to be cluttered with ads for products like pro active and other medications that I are of little interest to me. Some people say Accutane is the best, but it seems that is the may be the best medication and not the best treatment.I may have asked in the wrong place, although I appreciate the fast responses. I am looking for scientifically proven remedy's not so much homemade solutions. Pain and negative side effects are only a small consideration. I am more interested in surgical solutions, but I will look into the recommended products.

Cheap, Yet Effective Acne Cure?
Okay, I'm going to tell you guys about one of the biggest things I dislike about myself my acne. I have terrible acne and had terrible acne since around second grade. My skin is naturally pale, almost like a porcelain doll's, yet my skin around my face is so red Even when I apply toner it doesn't always help I hate it Also, all the oil from my acne makes my hair look greasy half way through the day, even if I had washed it that morning I break out in blemishes all the time, and not only is it on my face, but I break out on my neck, chest, and backl as well. It was bad enough that when I went to see a docter for a check up, he saw how bad I was breaking out and gave me the pill Tetracycline. While it does help, I know I should wash my face as well. So my question to everyone is what is an effective, yet cheap remedy to help acne go away? Also, how would I go about washing areas such as my back? If anyone can give advice on a good product, or a home based remedy, that'd be great
